In general, the movable mold is active and can be mounted on the moving template of the injection molding machine. The fixed mold is mounted on the fixed template of the injection molding machine, so it is not moving. When the injection molding machine starts working, the moving molds will approach the fixed mold, then they will close the cavity and the casting system. When the mold is opened, the movable mold and the fixed mold are separated, and the ejection mechanism starts to act to push the plastic member out of the mold cavity, so that the injection molded product can be smoothly demolded, thereby completing a work cycle.
The molded parts are mainly the parts constituting the cavity of the mold, which are usually used to determine the geometry and size of the plastic part. For example, the convex mold determines the inner shape of the plastic part, and the concave mold determines the shape of the plastic part. The gating system directly injects the plastic melt into the channels of the closed cavity, which has a very important influence on the flow characteristics of the melt filling and the quality of the injection molding. The clamping guide mechanism is generally used to ensure the dynamic mold and the fixed mold, or other parts in the mold, but the structural composition of the different molds is basically the same.
